Auditions and Classes at the Playhouse-in-the-Park!
Auditions for “The Conclusion of Edgar Allan Poe” and Charles Dickens' “A Christmas Carol - The Musical” are Monday and Wednesday, August 21 and 23, 2017 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Playhouse.
*** Those auditioning for “A Christmas Carol” will need to sing a short song, be prepared to read from the script, and/or to dance. Eligible ages for “A Christmas Carol - The Musical” are from age six through mid-20s.
*** Those auditioning for “The Conclusion of Edgar Allan Poe” will need to read from the script; eligible ages are from 13 through mid-20s.
The Playhouse Actor’s Studio is designed to mold young actors in a guided, dynamic, studio-style program that is tailored to the needs of each individual student. PAS offers an open enrollment program in acting for students 6 – 18 years of age. PAS encourages exploration, while creating the opportunity to see the world through the diverse lens of the performing arts. Classes begin the week of August 28th.

The Conclusion of Edgar Allan Poe
The Playhouse-in-the-Park will present a thrilling, dramatic production based on the life and stories of Edgar Allan Poe, including adaptations of four of his most famous tales: “The Tell-Tale Heart”, “The Casque of Amontillado”, “Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether”, and a story of the medieval plague, “King Pest”. Suitable for ages 12 and up.
